Counting is underway in Telangana.

Telangana Assembly Election results 2018 will be declared today. The counting of votes will begin at 8 am. The Legislative Assembly of Telangana consists of 119 seats. Voting was held in constituencies including Jukkal, Banswada, Yellareddy, Kamareddy, Nizamabad Urban, Nizamabad Rural constituencies on December 7. Jukkal: Hanumanthu Shinde who won on a TRS ticket in 2014 is contesting for the assembly seat this year too. Shinde had won the Jakkal seat with a TDP ticket in 2009 while Soudagar Gangaram won on a Congress ticket in 2004. Aruna Thara who on the assembly seat on TDP ticket in 1999 is contesting for BJP form Jakkal this election. Check Jukkal live updates here.

Banswada: TRS won Banswada in 2014 and 2011 which has otherwise been majorly a Congress seat. Pocharam Srinivas Reddy is the face of TRS in the constituency while Naidu Prakash is contesting on a BJP ticket and Kasula Balaraju for Congress party. Check Banswada live updates here.

Yellareddy: TRS' Eanugu Ravinder Reddy has been winning the seat since 2004 in Yellareddy other than 2008 bypolls when Congress won and Janardhan Goud Bogudameedi remained MLA for a year. Reddy is yet again contesting on a TRS ticket this year against BJP's Banala Laxma Reddy and Congress' Jajala Surendar. Check Yellareddy live updates here.

Kamareddy: TRS candidate Gampa Govardhan has been winning Kamareddy seat since 2009. Nizamabad Urban: Sitting MLA Ganesh Bigala who won on a TRS ticket in 2014 is contesting from the same seat. BJP's Endala Lakshmi Narayana who won in 2009 and 2010 is the party's face in Nizamabad Urban this election too. Check Nizamabad Urban live updates here.

Nizamabad Rural: Incumbent MLA Goverdhan Baji Reddy who won on a TRS ticket in 2014 is in the fray this year for Nizamabad Rural. Other candidates contesting for the seat include BJP's Keshpally Anand Reddy and Congress' Rekula Bhupathi Reddy. Check Nizamabad Rural live updates here.

Following weeks of speculation, the KCR-led government dissolved assembly in September, eight months ahead of its expiry period. It led to an early election in the state with KCR being the caretaker Chief Minister.
