Chaos erupted on Monday afternoon on the Tatarpur bypass in Hapur after silver reportedly fell from a moving truck, triggering a rush among locals to grab the precious metal. The truck, travelling from Garhmukteshwar towards Delhi, allegedly spilled silver pieces near the Bulandshahr cut, drawing massive crowds within minutes. Believing it to be silver, people parked their bikes and cars in the middle of the road and began collecting the metal, leading to a complete traffic jam on the busy bypass. Several viral videos from the spot show men and women bending down to pick up silver while long queues of vehicles remained stranded. Some car occupants were also seen stepping out to join the scramble. Following information about traffic disruption, the Hapur Dehat police reached the spot and cleared the jam. Police said an investigation is underway to assess the incident and the nature of the silver spill. Chicken Loot on Kannauj Expressway: Pickup Truck Overturns After Driver Falls Asleep, Crowd Steals Scattered Birds, Video Goes Viral.
