Quinton de Kock, South Africa Wicket-Keeper Batsman, Announces Retirement From Test Cricket With Immediate Effect

The left-hander has been an integral part of the South African squad in Tests and this decision indeed was a sudden one with not many expecting it. As it turns out, his last match for South Africa in the whites was against India which his side lost by 113 runs.

South Africa wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock has announced his retirement from Test cricket with immediate effect. According to Cricket South Africa's statement, the left-hander decided to spend more time with his family and hence this decision was made by him. He would be available for selection in white-ball cricket nonetheless.
