Another exciting day of cricket with England surprisingly having dominated the proceedings. Much of that credit should go to Ollie Pope, who has been sensational in this innings. He became the first batsman in this series to score a century and has tackled the threat posed by Indian spinners. India did manage to break into the England middle-order earlier in the day but a 112-run partnership between Pope and Ben Foakes not just steadied the ship but also gave them the lead. England have managed 316/6 in their second innings and have a 126-run lead in this innings. With Pope (148*) at the crease, England would look to take this lead beyond the 200-250 run-mark before putting pressure on India in the fourth innings, where batting becomes difficult. The match has opened up and all three results are seemingly possible! 

OUT! Axar Patel has produced a beauty here and broken this partnership, which frustrated India so far. Ben Foakes, missed the ball which went on to crash into the stumps. India have the breakthrough and would look to take one or two more wickets today. Ben Foakes b Axar Patel 34(81) 

Century for Ollie Pope! That's the hundred for Pope, his fifth in Tests. What a fine knock this has been. He truly mixed caution with aggression in this innings. Still has a job up his sleeve as he celebrates one of his finest centuries.

England's total has reached the 200-run mark and the lead is now worth 10 runs. Ollie Pope is nearing his century and is batting on 83.  Important for England that these two carry on and set a decent target for India.

England have now taken the lead with five wickets down. This means India will have to bat again. Meanwhile, England will now start from scratch here and build a decent target for India.

OUT! Ravindra Jadeja strikes! Jonny Bairstow is shocked as he played for turn. The previous ball spun sharply and that remained in Bairstow's mind. This one was an arm-ball and did not turn much. Bairstow b Jadeja 10(24).

OUT! One brings two! Jasprit Bumrah strikes once again. This time he traps Joe Root in front of the wickets. Root opts for DRS but it is umpire's call that stays. England in trouble now. J Root lbw b Bumrah 2(6)

OUT! Jasprit Bumrah strikes! Just when England looked to dominate, Bumrah has struck and removed Ben Duckett. The batsman misses the line of the ball and it hits the top of the off-stump. It came back into the left-hander as Bumrah is all pumped up. Vital breakthrough this for India as Bumrah breaks a vital partnership. B Duckett b Bumrah 47(52)

It is lunch on day three as England have done relatively well thus far. Zak Crawley was the only batsman to be dismissed as Ben Duckett and Ollie Pope continued the attack.  England now trail by 101 runs.

Ollie Pope is the new batsman in. Meanwhile, Ben Duckett has put a foot on acceleration. He is reversing sweeping at will at the moment. Meanwhile, England trail by just over 100 runs now.

OUT! India draw first blood. Ravi ashwin accounts for Zak Crawley. Regulation catch at lone slip for Rohit Sharma. Crawley plays for spin, but it didn't turn and gets the outside edge. Crawley c Rohit b Ashwin 31(33)

Good start this for England, Zak Crawley has done the bulk of scoring thus far. He has hit three fours and a six till now. India have already used three bowlers as they look for an early breakthrough. 

So, England have begun an uphill task as they look to cut down the deficit. Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett open the innings for England as Jasprit Bumrah and Ravi Ashwin open the bowling for India.

That's it, India have been bowled out for massive 436. The hosts now have a healthy first innings lead of 190 runs. Axar Patel was the last Indian wicket to fell as Rehan Ahmed dismissed him for 44.

Two back to back wickets for England and Joe Root. First he accounts for Ravindra Jadeja and then the next ball cleaned up Jasprit Bumrah. Four wickets for Root now. Jadeja missed out on a well deserving century as he perishes for 87. He was given LBW on field and opted for DRS. But it is umpire's call that stays.
