626 MPs from the European Union Parliament have backed a draft resolution against India’s recently amended Citizenship law. The draft resolution accuses the Indian government of setting in motion a chain of events that could create the world’s largest statelessness crisis. The resolutions call the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) explicitly discriminatory and has asked the Indian government to repeal the law.
