NEET-PG Counselling: Supreme Court Allows Admissions With 27% OBC Quota, 10% Quota for EWS

The Apex Court ruled in the NEET-PG admissions delay matter by allowing the intake to go ahead. The Supreme Court bench comprising Justices DY Chandrachud and AS Bopanna upheld the 27 per cent quota for OBCs and 10 per cent for the economically weaker sections (EWS) for 2021-22. They also stuck to the Rs 8 lakh income cut-off for identifying those eligible for Economically Weaker Section quota for the admissions. The ruling comes as a relief for thousands of students who had been stuck in limbo after the counselling post the NEET-PG exam held in September was delayed.
