New Delhi, Jul 24 (PTI) The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has set a target of planting nearly 10 lakh saplings during the ongoing monsoon season across various green spaces of the national capital including parks and the Yamuna flood plains, the urban body today said.

Several big parks, green belts, bio-diversity parks and the Yamuna flood plains fall under the jurisdiction of the DDA, which has planted 1.6 lakh saplings so far, it said in a statement.

"Large-scale plantation, i.e. nearly 10 lakh saplings will be planted during this monsoon season in various parks, green belts, (on the) roadside, bio-diversity parks and the Yamuna flood plains," it said.

Some of the DDA parks having rich green cover include Japanese Park in Rohini, Coronation Park in Burari and Astha Kunj Park in south Delhi.
