Raipur, Nov 7 (PTI) Chhattisgarh's COVID-19 count reached 1,99,562 on Saturday after 1,571 people were detected with the infection, while the number of people who have recovered stood at 1,73,872, an official said.
With 22 deaths, 12 of which took place on Saturday and the rest on Friday, the fatality count climbed to 2,434, he said.

He said 229 people were discharged from hospitals while 963 completed home isolation during the day, leaving the state with 23,256 active cases.
"Raipur district reported 127 new cases, taking its total count to 42,305, including 619 deaths. Janjgir-Champa district recorded 178 new cases, Korba 150, Rajnandgaon 110, Bilaspur 106, Balod 105 and Raigarh 90," he added.

Chhattisgarh's coronavirus figures are as follows: Positive cases 1,99,562, New cases 1,571, Death toll 2,434, Recovered 1,73,872, Active cases 23,256, People tested so far 19,73,212.
