Ranchi (Jharkhand) [India], July 11 (ANI): The Central Election Commission team arrived in Ranchi on its two-day visit to conduct a review meeting ahead of the assembly election, which is scheduled to be held later this year.
DC Ranchi, Rahul Kumar Sinha, said, "On behalf of the Election Commission of India, a review meeting has been scheduled with all the districts of the state tomorrow. The special meeting will be held in the Ramgarh district. All the preparations being done by all the districts for the election will be reviewed in detail as per the guidelines of the ECI."
AV Homakar, IG Operations said that the field officers have already conducted a successful Lok Sabha polls and preparations are being done to conduct Vidhan Sabha polls peacefully.
AV Homakar said, "The team of the election commission will be coming for a two-day visit to Jharkhand today and there is to be a review on many points. The review is to be done with the deputy commissioners of all the districts and also with the chief electoral officer and other officers. Recently the Lok Sabha polls were held peacefully. The assembly election is definitely an important upcoming event and all the preparations are being made for it."

He further said that points of review that are related to the police will be informed to the team of the election commission and the preparations done by the state police will also be briefed.
K Ravi Kumar (Chief Electoral Office Jharkhand) said that in Jharkhand, the second special summary revision is going on and to conduct a review meeting, all the district election officers will be present on Thursday in Patratu.
"There is no indication of early polls. We are prepared," he added. (ANI)
