Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], May 14 (ANI): State Investigation Agency (SIA) conducted searches at 11 locations in Jammu and Kashmir, said an official statement on Tuesday.

They said that the early morning raids were conducted in Anantnag, Kulgam and Shopian of south Kashmir.

J&K police said in a statement posted on X, "These searches were conducted by SIA in connection with the ongoing investigation about the killing of non-local street vendor Raja Sah on April 17 2024 at Jablipota, Bijbehara to ascertain larger criminal conspiracy behind this killing.

The action follows after a case was registered at Bijbehara police station.

These searches were conducted by SIA in connection with the ongoing investigation of case FIR No 87/2024 of PS Bijbehara, pertaining to the killing of non-local street vendor Raja Sah on 17 April 2024 at Jablipota, Bijbehara to ascertain the larger criminal conspiracy behind this killing.

During searches, various articles including mobile phones, electronic gadgets and documents relevant to the ongoing investigation have been seized in the case which shall be forensically examined and analysed during investigation in the case.

Meanwhile, In Baramullah, police said today that it had attached the properties worth lakhs belonging to two terror handlers based in Pakistan.

As per an official statement, "Police in Baramulla after obtaining attachment order passed by Hon'ble Sub Judge Uri attached properties (1 Kanal & 11 Marlas) land worth lacs belonging to 2 terror handlers based in Pakistan namely Mohd Arif Badal son of Ghulam Hussain resident of Nawarunda & Mohd Bashir son of Mir Alam resident of Gowhallan Uri".

The action was taken under sections of 83 CRPC & are linked with case FIR No.82/1999 u/s 2/3 EIMCO Act, case FIR No. 34/1999 u/s 354, 323 & 06/2008 u/s 2/3 EIMCO Act of PS Uri, they added.

"The property was identified as belonging to terror handlers during an investigation conducted by Police," It added.

On May 11, during joint Naka checking by Shopian Police,44RR and 14BN CRPF at Malik Chek crossing 02 terrorist associates were apprehended along with incriminating material.FIR 14/2024 under relevant sections of law registered at PS Heerpora & investigation taken up. (ANI)
