Mumbai, Jul 10 (PTI) The Mumbai police have arrested two peddlers and recovered drugs, including heroin, charas and mephedrone, and cash worth Rs 2.36 crore from them, an official said on Thursday.

During patrolling in the Lokhandwala Complex area in suburban Andheri on July 7, the Azad Maidan unit of the Anti Narcotics Cell (ANC) apprehended a 46-year-old man with 140 grams of mephedrone and 703 grams of charas, valued at worth Rs 1.14 crore, an official said.

The ANC team also recovered Rs 18 lakh cash from the man, he said.

In another case, the Kandivali unit of the ANC on July 8 arrested a 31-year-old peddler with 306 grams of heroin, valued at Rs 1.04 crore, in the Versova area, he said.

Both have been arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, the official added.
