The injured individuals are undergoing treatment in the Sivakasi government hospital.

The Vembakkottai police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.

"Two people were seriously injured when firecrackers stored illegally in a cowshed near Sivakasi exploded. The injured are undergoing treatment in the Sivakasi government hospital.
