Hyderabad, Telangana [India], July 28 (ANI): Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy held a meeting with representatives of Hare Rama and Hare Krishna Foundation and discussed the establishment of a semi-residential school as a pilot project in Kodangal, said the chief minister's office in a statement on Sunday.

A centralized kitchen will also be established to provide breakfast and lunch to 28,000 school students in Kodangal constituency. The construction work of the centralized kitchen has already started.

The kitchen will be maintained by Hare Rama-Hare Krishna Charitable Foundation with CSR funds. CM will start the pilot project in Kodangal soon after the completion of construction of the centralized kitchen.

CM suggested that a complete study should be done to implement the same across the state as the state government aims to provide quality education and nutritious food to the poor students.

Earlier, Revanth Reddy announced in the Legislative Assembly on Saturday that his government took on the responsibility of completing the Old City metro rail project in four years.

"Old City is not an old habitation in Hyderabad. It is the original city. As Union Minister for Urban Development, Jaipal Reddy provided Viable Gap Fund for the construction of Hyderabad Metro Rail," CM Reddy said.

He said, "During the 10-year rule, the previous BRS government failed to extend Metro Rail services to Old City." CM said that the Congress government submitted a report to the Centre for Metro Rail's second phase project on the 78-kilometre stretch, as per a statement from the Chief Ministers Office.

"Soon after coming to power, the Congress government laid the foundation stone for metro rail in the old city," he said, adding, "My government took on the responsibility of completing the old city metro rail project in four years." (ANI)
