Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], October 16 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Shanti Upvan, the Buddhist Vihar located on VIP Road in Alambagh, late on Monday evening, where he met the mourners and their family members who were paying homage to the mortal remains of Bhadant Shanti Mitra, president of the International Buddhist Research Institute, Uttar Pradesh and consoled them.
He prayed to God to give place to the virtuous soul at his feet and to give strength to his followers and the bereaved family members to bear this loss. The Chief Minister described the demise of President Bhadant Shanti Mitra as "extremely sad".

Bhadant Shanti Mitra (81) died at his residence in Buddha Vihar Shanti Upvan at around 10 pm on Saturday, informed Bhagwant Das Shakya, a member of the institute. (ANI)
