New Delhi, Oct 6 (PTI) Campus Activewear Ltd, a leading sports and athleisure footwear brand, on Friday said it has become the first domestic shoe manufacturer to get a BIS license.
"This significant milestone emphasizes the brand's commitment to manufacturing top-quality footwear and ensuring customer satisfaction," said a statement from Campus Activewear.

The government has mandated the footwear sector to adhere to Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) quality standards. It serves two purposes - promoting business growth and preserving its competitive advantage.

Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Private Ltd (HCCB), the bottling arm of beverage maker Coca-Cola said it has signed a initial pact with the government of Tamil Nadu to skill 5,000 youth in sales and marketing.
The company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the government of Tamil Nadu, under the Naan Mudhalvan scheme, to skill 5,000 individuals through a Sales & Marketing training program.
The strategic partnership will be executed over a period of 1 year, in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC).
The program will include a diverse range of participants, from recent graduates to students currently pursuing their degrees and college dropouts aged 18 and above.
