Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], Jul 27 (ANI): A man was arrested after he along with his two friends performed an unassisted and botched pregnancy operation on his 28-year-old wife by watching YouTube videos.

The husband, Karthikeyan and his two friends, Lavanya and Praveen began watching lessons on how to conduct a pregnancy operation at home, after the former's wife Kritika started experiencing labour pain.

The trio then planned to conduct a home delivery at Karthikeyan's home in Tirupur by performing a traditional form of treatment on his wife.

The three persons followed the YouTube videos and continued to assist Kritika during the operation.

However, after delivering the baby, the woman started feeling uncomfortable and experienced excessive bleeding following which she died.

On seeing this, the three of them fled from the scene, after which the police launched a manhunt to trace the trio.

Ultimately, the three persons, including Karthikeyan, were arrested by the police. (ANI)
