Passenger Apprehended at Delhi Airport with Foreign Currency

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has on Monday apprehended a passenger with huge foreign currency here at Indira Gandhi International Airport. The CISF officials intercepted the passenger, named Amit Bali, who was supposed to travel to London by a British Airways flight.

New Delhi [India] August 20 (ANI): The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has on Monday apprehended a passenger with huge foreign currency here at Indira Gandhi International Airport. The CISF officials intercepted the passenger, named Amit Bali, who was supposed to travel to London by a British Airways flight.

Assistant Sub-Inspector U.S. Prasad detected high volume of foreign currency (USD- 50110, EURO- 30855 and Pound- 25000 worth approximately INR 81,88,630/-) from the hand baggage of the passenger, named Amit Bali.

During the enquiry, he could not produce any valid document. Later Bali, along with the recovered foreign currency, was handed over to the Customs Officials for further interrogation. (ANI)
