Three Children Drown in a Pond in East Champaran District
Three children, including two girls, drowned in a pond at a village in East Champaran today, police said.
Motihari (Bihar), Aug 30 (PTI) Three children, including two girls, drowned in a pond at a village in East Champaran today, police said.
The incident took place in Bahlolpur village, Deputy Superintendent of Police Shailendra Kumar said.
The deceased have been identified as Pinky Kumari (13), Khushbu Kumari (14) and Vivek Kumar (14), the Deputy SP said adding that their bodies have been sent to the Sadar hospital in Motihari town for post-mortem.
Two other children had slipped into the pond besides the three deceased, but they were rescued in time by villagers, the Deputy SP added.
