Two Drug Peddlers Arrested in Jammu
Two people allegedly involved in running a drug cartel were arrested with 750 grams of heroin-like substance here, a police official said.
Jammu, Jul 13 (PTI) Two people allegedly involved in running a drug cartel were arrested with 750 grams of heroin-like substance here, a police official said.
Tariq Ahmad Malla, a resident of Qazigund area in Anantnag, and Mohammad Hussain, a resident of Batpora area of Shopian, were arrested from a bus stand here.
Around 400 grams of heroin-like substance was recovered from Malla while 350 grams of heroin was seized from his associate Hussain, the official said.
They are being questioned and some more arrests and recoveries are expected, he said.
In another operation, a notorious criminal was arrested and a country-made pistol was seized from his possession, the official said, adding that he has been identified as Tilak Raj alias Pappa. PTI TAS
