What is Otomycosis?

Otomycosis is a fungal infection usually involving the canal that runs from the ear hole to the eardrum. People living in warm, tropical regions suffer this the most. Swimmers and surfers are also prone to this infection. Otomycosis is triggered in summers as the warm weather and humidity work as the perfect breeding ground for fungus. Sometimes the fungus and bacteria come together and cause make the infection more complicated to treat. Ear infections are very common in children and clear out on its own in a few days.
