Several moments from the Paris Olympics have been presented to the audience, but nothing like the recent capture of Gabriel Medina’s mid-air celebration during the surfing event in Tahiti. The photographer named Jerome Brouillet, working for Agence France-Presse, has successfully managed to break all the records of public’s imagination. Brouillet clicked the Brazilian surfer in a striking pose as he performed a celebratory gesture after a record-setting ride. The floating photo, which shows Medina and his board appearing to levitate above the waves, with Medina's raised index finger signalling his triumph, has already gained traction online. The 30-year-old Medina, a three-time World Surf League champion, has secured a near-perfect score of 9.90, setting a new Olympic record for a single wave run.
