Oppo has officially confirmed that its latest F-series smartphones, the Oppo F33 and F33 Pro, will launch in India on April 15, 2026. Positioned as "selfie mid-rangers," the new lineup places a heavy emphasis on front-facing camera technology and compact design. The flagship of the series, the F33 Pro, is set to introduce a high-resolution ultra-wide selfie lens specifically engineered to accommodate group photography and social media content creation.
The launch follows the brand's tradition of targeting the youth demographic with camera-centric features. In addition to the hardware updates, the F33 series will debut a new aesthetic titled the "Starry Sea Lens" design, featuring a rounded-rectangular camera module on the rear. Oppo F33 Pro Specifications (Expected)
The Oppo F33 Pro is confirmed to house a 50MP ultra-wide front camera offering a 100-degree field of view. A standout software feature includes a smart auto-switch that adjusts to a 0.6x crop factor when multiple subjects are detected in the frame. This is supported by a face distortion correction algorithm capable of processing up to six faces simultaneously, ensuring that subjects at the edges of the photo maintain natural proportions.
For low-light scenarios, the device introduces a "Colourful Front Fill Light," a multi-colour flash system designed to provide studio-style lighting for selfies. Other AI-driven tools include an AI Groupfie Expert and AI Portrait Glow. On the rear, both the F33 and F33 Pro are expected to share a 50MP main camera utilizing the OV50D40 sensor, paired with a 2MP depth sensor.
The Oppo F33 Pro features a 6.57-inch flat display, which the company claims provides a more compact form factor for comfortable one-handed use. Despite its 194g weight, the device is designed to be slim. To enhance durability, the series is rumoured to carry an IP69K rating, offering protection against high-pressure water jets and dust ingress—a significant upgrade for the mid-range segment.
The F33 Pro will be available in three colour variants: Misty Forest, which features pine tree silhouettes on the back panel; Starry Blue; and Passion Red, which sports a metallic finish. The design is rounded off with a ring-flash positioned next to the vertical rear lenses.
While full technical specifications will be revealed at the launch, industry leaks suggest the F33 Pro will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Max SoC. One of the most notable rumoured specifications is a massive 7,000mAh battery supported by 80W wired fast charging, which would make it one of the longest-lasting devices in its class. The Oppo F33 series is expected to be priced under INR 35,000 in India. By focusing on high-end selfie capabilities and substantial battery life, Oppo aims to compete with other popular mid-range offerings from Samsung and Vivo that prioritize camera performance and portability.
