Group Captain Varun Singh Dies: Lone Survivor Of IAF Chopper Crash Which Killed Gen Bipin Rawat & 12 Others Succumbs to Injuries

The Indian Air Force (IAF) announced that Group Captain Varun Singh died on December 15. Group Captain Varun Singh was rescued after the chopper carrying him, Gen Bipin Rawat and 12 others crashed on December 8 in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. The IAF tweeted saying that he succumbed to his injuries on December 15 morning. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief. He said, “I am extremely anguished by his passing away.” Defence Minister Rajnath ISngh said, “Pained beyond words to learn of the demise of IAF pilot, Group Captain Varun Singh." Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said, “This is a sad moment for the country.” Watch the video to know more.
