Arms Supplier Arrested in UP
An alleged arms supplier, who carried a bounty of Rs one lakh on his head, has been arrested from near Pinna village here following an exchange of fire, police said on Wednesday.
Muzaffarnagar, Nov 28 (PTI) An alleged arms supplier, who carried a bounty of Rs one lakh on his head, has been arrested from near Pinna village here following an exchange of fire, police said on Wednesday.
Acting on a tip off, police arrested Shamil alias Mulla after an encounter on Tuesday, Senior Superintendent of Police Sudhir Kumar said.
Shamil was injured in the encounter while his accomplice, Pervesh, managed to flee, he said.
Police recovered two pistols and a motorcycle from Shamil's possession.
