Mumbai, Aug 22 (PTI) Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray was on Friday elected as a vice president of the Western India Football Association, the governing body of the sport in Maharashtra.
Thackeray, son of Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, shared the news on Twitter.
"Today, I was elected unopposed as Vice President of the @WIFAOfficial (Governing body for football in Maharashtra) at its 70th AGM in Nagpur," he said.
Aaditya is currently president of the Mumbai District Football Association.
Parth Jindal was also elected unopposed as a WIFA vice president, he informed.
"Look forward to a fulfilling term for sport development with @praful_patel ji as the President of WIFA again and all newly elected colleagues," Aaditya tweeted. PTI
