New Delhi [India], January 15 (ANI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday greeted Indian Army personnel and their family members on the occasion on 76th Army Day, saying "you manifest Bharat's Himalayan courage protecting our sovereignty and safeguarding our progress to the pinnacle of civilization."
"Warm greetings to our Army personnel and their family members on #ArmyDay. You manifest Bharat's Himalayan courage protecting our sovereignty and safeguarding our progress to the pinnacle of civilization. Salute to the Martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation," Shah posted on 'X'.

The capital city of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, hosted a spectacular parade on Monday to commemorate the 76th Army Day of the Indian Army. This is the second consecutive year when the Army Day parade has been relocated outside of Delhi.
The parade was held at the Parade Ground of the MED and Centre in Bengaluru the previous year.
From 1949 till 2022, the Army Day parade was organised at the Cariappa Parade Ground in the Delhi Cantonment. The Chief of Army Staff reviews the marching contingents who also take part in the Republic Day Parade every year.
Every year on January 15, India celebrates its Army Day. The purpose of the day is to remember the troops and all they have sacrificed for the country.
On the occasion, General Manoj Pande, Chief of Army Staff, extended his greetings and paid homage to soldiers who laid down their lives in service to the nation. (ANI)
