India, Russia Hold Bilateral Talks

New Delhi [India], Jan 9 (ANI): Discussions were held between India's Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale and Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov on bilateral relations on the sidelines of the Raisina Dialogue 2019.
"Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale held Foreign Office consultations with Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Mr. Sergei Ryabkov. Bilateral relations, cooperation in multilateral organizations such as BRICS and international disarmament issues featured in their discussions," Raveesh Kumar, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) tweeted on Wednesday.
The Russian leader had, earlier on Wednesday, taken part in the Raisina Dialogue, where he had condemned US President Donald Trump's mocking remarks towards India's role in Afghanistan.
He also remarked that Russia "has no hidden agenda in Syria," while speaking at a panel named 'The Road from the Khyber to the Bosporus: Partnerships, Perils and Opportunities' on Wednesday evening. (ANI)
