New Delhi, Jan 5 (PTI) Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (Powergrid) on Thursday said it has been ranked third among the top 10 profit making CPSEs in the Public Enterprises Survey 2021-22.

The survey was published recently by the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE), Ministry of Finance, Powergrid said in a statement.

"Powergrid has been ranked 1st in services sector across categories gross block, value addition, net profit, net worth, dividend declaration and contribution to central exchequer and has also been ranked 3rd amongst top 10 profit making CPSEs in Public Enterprises Survey 2021-22," it said.

The total transmission assets of Powergrid and its subsidiaries as on December 31, 2022 include 1,73,791 circuit kilometre of transmission lines, 270 substations and transformation capacity of 4,93,043 MVA (mega volt amp).

The new leave policy is applicable from January 1, 2023, and can be availed by biological as well as adoptive fathers, the company said in a statement.

"The 12-week paternity leave policy will most certainly enable our male colleagues and their partners to cherish the experience and joyful moments of parenthood.

"A progressive policy of this nature is our endeavour to harness the power of equity at the workplace and enable both men and women to invest equal time in essaying their roles and responsibilities as a parent," Pfizer India Director People Experience Shilpi Singh said.

*** Schneider Electric appoints Manish Pant as Executive VP for international business * Schneider Electric on Thursday said Manish Pant has been appointed as the company's Executive Vice President (EVP) to look after its global business.

His appointment is with effect from November 1, 2022, the company said in a statement.

Prior to the appointment, Pant was the President of East Asia and Japan zone from 2021 to 2022, where he was in-charge of commercial operations across 14 countries, including South-East Asia, Taiwan, Korea, Japan and Mongolia, driving business performance and transformation.

"In my new role, I look forward to scaling up our capabilities, accelerating research and innovation, and contributing towards building a climate positive world through enhanced collaborations and partnerships," Pant said.

He will lead the operations in Pacific, India, Middle East Africa, and South America by bringing solutions supporting our customers in their sustainability journey.
