Mumbai, Aug 29 (PTI) Shiprocket Fulfillment on Tuesday announced expanding its warehousing footprint with the opening of three new facilities in the country as it looks to enhance capacity by about 50 per cent by this fiscal.

The addition of these warehousing facilities in Mumbai, Bengaluru and Gurugram will augment the total capacity by 4.3 lakh square feet, the company said.

Besides, it will help in ensuring a seamless and efficient operation for the company's over 2.5 lakh merchants, it said.

The company, however, did not disclose any financial details .

The Shiprocket Fulfillment platform offers tech-driven warehousing solution for retail and e-commerce brands with over 42 facilities across India.

"By strategically expanding our footprint, we aim to offer our merchants economical tech-enabled solutions and the ability to reach their customers faster," said Gautam Kapoor, Co-Founder of Shiprocket Fulfillment.

The launch of these facilities is a step forward in Shiprocket's aim of expanding nationally its footprint to approximately 3-million sq ft by the end of FY24 from 2-million sq ft at present, the platform said.

The warehouses are designed to accommodate both B2C and B2B operations, in compliance with FSSAI and marketplace standards, it stated.

*** Hospitality group Accor signs 110-key Mercure Lucknow * Global hospitality group Accor on Tuesday announced the signing of 110-key property with Meghalaya Hotels in Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh to introduce its Mercure brand in India.

The Mercure Lucknow is under development and is expected to become operational in April 2024, Accor said in a statement.

"The opening of Mercure Lucknow marks another milestone in Accor's journey to redefine the hospitality landscape in India. The hotel's contemporary design, coupled with its excellent amenities and strategic location, sets the stage for a notable stay for every guest," Accor Vice President of Development, India and South Asia Aniruddh Kumar said.

Accor currently operates 58 properties in India, under the Raffles, Fairmont, Sofitel, Pullman, Grand Mercure, Novotel, Mercure and ibis brands.

The group has a strong pipeline of 25 properties currently under development in India.

Rejové Aligners Co-founder Vikram Kumar said through the alliance the two companies would be able to expand reach in the Indian market and provide a far stronger value proposition to dentists and patients alike.

"Together, we can grow in the highly competitive clear dental aligner market and develop service-oriented and highly personalised treatment plans that cater to the unique needs of each patient," 32 WATTS CEO Rahul Agrawal said.
