Pink Coffin-Shaped Floatie is What We Need Right Now to Save Us from Monsoon Floods in India
The bizarre floating coffin was created by Canadian designer Andrew Greenbaum, who uploaded a picture of it on his Instagram.
The latest in outrageous pool accessories – after oversized unicorn and flamingo floaties – is the millennial pink, coffin-shaped pool float. It is perfect for people who are obsessed with the Insta-worthy photos. The bizarre floating coffin was created by Canadian designer Andrew Greenbaum, who uploaded a picture of it on his Instagram. The idea was created by Andrew three years ago and he called it a ‘super hilarious project’. Although, seeing the conditions in India, monsoons have flooded the nation and this floatie might just come to our rescue.
The design is created by Andrew Greenbaum and Ian Felton. On Instagram, Greenbaum explained that started the project almost three years ago and recently found someone to make a sample. Unfortunately, Greenbaum revealed that they’re about 15,000 dollars away from making this float a reality.

The image of the chic inflatable coffin was picked up by Plastik Magazine who shared it on their Instagram page. It has racked up over 37,000 likes in three days and holidaymakers are desperate for it to become a reality. Fans were excited, and their response was positive. Greenbaum yesterday posted on his Instagram that the kickstarter would start in mid-July and requested his followers to sign up for the updates.
Elated fans have even requested for a black coffin floatie and cannot wait to purchase this for their next vacation. While Greenbaum has just over 3000 followers on Instagram, the post has accumulated more than 6000 likes and hundreds of comments along the lines of ‘Shut up and take my money’. Greenbaum told Elle.com, “We really were just attracted to the idea of expressing our humour and ideas into products. We both thought that the pool toy industry was a really fun way of doing that.”
