Helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Gangubai Kathiawadi revolves around a maiden (Alia Bhatt) sold by a suitor into prostitution and how she becomes a prominent and celebrated figure in the underworld as well as Kamathipura's red-light district.
Alia Bhatt was born to slay and she proved the same with her recent Sanjay Leela Bhansali release Gangubai Kathiawadi. As until March 4, the film has surpassed Rs 100 crore mark at the worldwide box office. The film banner, Bhansali Productions took to Twitter and thanked fans for Rs 108.3 crore gross across the globe. The movie also stars Ajay Devgn and Shantanu Maheshwari in major roles.
