JP Nadda, the national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), visited Himachal Pradesh's Shimla on Sunday to assess the damage caused by the flooding due to severe rainfall in the state. Nadda will also meet the grieving relatives of those who perished in the disaster. Continuous rain has caused substantial damage in the State by creating landslides, cloudbust, and flash floods.
