Maharashtra on Saturday reported 8,623 COVID-19 cases, taking the coronavirus tally to 21,46,777. A total of 51 people also lost their lives due to the deadly virus in the past 24 hours in the western state of India. Maharashtra's COVID-19 death toll increased to 52,092 on February 27.
