India Test Squad for South Africa Tour Announced: Rohit Sharma Returns, Named Virat Kohli’s Deputy for Three-Match Series
Ajinkya Rahane's place in the side had come under question following a string of poor performances with the bat. He was named in the squad though as Sharma would now be Virat Kohli's deputy in the longest format of the game.
Rohit Sharma was appointed vice-captain of the Indian Test side as the BCCI announced its squad for the three-match Test series on December 8, Wednesday. He thus replaces Ajinkya Rahane, who has not been in good form of late.
