October 22, 2019 marks the 119th birth anniversary of freedom fighter Ashfaqullah Khan. Ashfaqullah Khan was one of the prominent freedom fighters who stood against the atrocities of the British Empire. Khan was born on October 22, 1900, in Shahjahanpur, then part of North-Western Province, British India. On August 9, 1925, Khan along with Chandrashekhar Azad & Ram Prasad Bismil looted the train carrying British government money in Kakori near Lucknow. Ashfaqullah Khan was just 27-years-old when he sacrificed his life for the nation.
