Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], July 11 (ANI): MB Patil, Minister for Large and Medium Industries, on Wednesday, urged Japanese companies located in Karnataka to act as ambassadors to attract increased investments from Japan to the state.
Speaking at an interaction organised by the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) with representatives of Japanese companies based in Karnataka, he noted that the recent delegation he led to Japan identified potential investment opportunities that could benefit both regions.

He appealed to the company representatives to inform other businesses in their country about Karnataka's industry-friendly policies, availability of human resources, and favourable climatic conditions.
Expressing his admiration for many aspects of Japan, particularly its transport system, he highlighted that over 70 percent of Japanese companies in India have a presence in Karnataka. "The visit to Japan was very successful," he added.

The Minister also invited industry experts to actively participate in the upcoming Global Investors Meet, scheduled to be held from February 12-14, 2025.
S. Selvakumar, Principal Secretary, and Gunjan Krishna, Commissioner of the Department of Industries, emphasised that the state has been awarding incentives to industries based on the size of investment. They urged Japanese companies in Karnataka to encourage other companies from Japan to invest in the state.
Tsutomu Nakane, Consul General of Japan in Bengaluru, Hokoto Kaya, Deputy Consul General, and over a hundred industry leaders were present at the event. (ANI)
