Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], October 18 (ANI): Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin announced on Wednesday that the toll tax collected in Navallur toll plaza will be cancelled from Thursday.
"Due to metro works, there is traffic congestion in South Chennai. Motorists are struggling. South Chennai people were demanding to cancel the toll cost in Navallur toll plaza," Stalin said.

"Based on people's demand, from tomorrow Navallur Toll won't be functioning and we are cancelling the toll fee being collected there," he added.
In addition to this, considering the demand for small apartments, the electricity charges in small apartments have been reduced to Rs 5 per unit as compared to Rs 8 per unit which was charged earlier.
"Recently due to a change of tariff by the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, General usage of Lights and Motors Electricity Bill price was increased to eight rupees per unit. This affected the middle-class families in such apartments. Many demanded to reduce the electricity charges. Considering this, General Usage of EB cost would be implemented in apartments with less than 10 houses and less than 3 floors without lift facilities," the Chief Minister said.
The Chief Minister on Wednesday held a review meeting for the second day as a part of the 'CM on Field Visit' at Maraimalai Nagar in Tamil Nadu's Chengalpattu. (ANI)
