Ranchi, Jul 5 (PTI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said that a man from Sareikela-Kharsawan district of the state, who was sent to Dubai by an agent, will soon return to his home soon.
Das said he has directed the officials to take up the matter of return of Santosh Giri of Sareikela-Kharsawan district, an official release said quoting the chief minister.
The Ministry of External Affairs has said that Giri would come back within one week, it said.
In an email to the principal secretary to the chief minister on June 8, Giri had said that he was sent to Dubai by a Jamshedpur-based agent and after 12 days he realised that he has been tricked.
Giri in the email said he has been confined and not even being given food and approached the chief minister to arrange for his return from Dubai. The chief minister asked Commissioner at the Jharkhand Bhavan in Delhi to contact the Ministry of External Affairs and bring back Giri at the earliest, the release added.
