Imphal, Jul 10 (PTI) A cadre of outlawed NSCN(IM) has escaped from police custody in Manipur's Imphal East district Wednesday, following which four police personnel were suspended, officials said.

Intensive search operations are being carried out across the state to nab the escapee, a release by the police said.

It also said that two sub-inspectors, a assistant sub-inspector and a head constable have been put under suspension for dereliction of duty, while three Village Defence Force (VDF) personnel were also disengaged from service.

Police has announce a reward of Rs 1 lakh for information that can lead to the arrest of the NSCN(IM) cadre.
