Thane: Woman GRP Constable Molested by RPF Cop in Dombivli, Case Registered

Thane, August 18: A 51-year-old Railway Protection Force (RPF) cop was booked on Sunday for allegedly molesting a 35-year-old woman constable of Government Railway Police (GRP) in Dombivli area of Thane district. According to a report published in The Times of India, the incident took place when the RPF constable had come to Dombivli GRP office for some work. He recorded a video of the victim inside the GRP police station. Satish Pawar, senior police inspector of Dombivli GRP told TOI, “When Singh was making a video, the victim noticed him and raised objection.” The woman constable filed a complaint against the accused. GRP booked the accused under molestation charges.

Last year in November, Gujarat police sub-inspector was accused of raping a fellow woman ASI. At the time of the incident, the woman ASI was posted at Surendranagar police headquarters, while the accused Ashish Damor was working in Patan. The 28-year-old rape survivor alleged that the accused had raped her several times by promising to marry her.
