New Delhi, August 10: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) late on Saturday informed that its leader and former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley was stable. The rumours of Arun Jaitley's death had been doing rounds since he was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Friday. Jaitley was hospitalised after he complained of uneasiness and weakness. Arun Jaitley Health Update: Former Finance Minister Responding to Treatment.

Putting Arun Jaitley's death rumours to rest, the BJP tweeted: "Shri Arun Jaitley is stable and recovering. Any speculation to the contrary is misleading." Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, in a tweet, said he was happy to hear the news about the improvement in Jaitley's health condition. "Very happy to know that @arunjaitley ji is improving. Wish him good health and speedy recovery," Kejriwal tweeted.

Social media, especially Twitter is flooded with tweets about Jaitley's death. People were even condoling the BJP leader's rumoured demise on the micro-blogging site. WhatsApp messages are also doing rounds claiming that Jaitley has died. However, all these posts are fake. Earlier today, the Vice President’s office also said was stable and responding to treatment. Arun Jaitley Health Update: Former Finance Minister Admitted to AIIMS for Medical Check-up; PM Modi, Amit Shah, Om Birla Reach Hospital.

“The doctors informed the Vice President that Shri Jaitley is responding to the treatment and his condition is stable. The Vice President also met Shri Jaitley’s family members who were present,” the Vice President’s secretariat tweeted after Venkaiah Naidu visited the hospital.

Jaitley was admitted to the AIIMS Intensive Care Unit on Friday morning after he complained of breathlessness and restlessness, but doctors on Friday said he is “haemodynamically stable”. A haemodynamically stable patient has a stable heart pump and good blood circulation. The hospital did not issue any fresh bulletin on Jaitley’s health on Saturday.
