The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has downgraded the yellow alert for Mumbai and predicted moderate rainfall as monsoon showers continue to elude the maximum city.
Heavy rainfall lashed several parts of Mumbai and its neighbouring districts today, June 26. While rains lashed several areas of the maximum city, the downpour was brief. Netizens also took to social media to share photos and videos of rainfall. A user said, "It's raining in Kalyan," while a second user wrote, "It may have rained in #Chembur at night as the roads were wet but just a drizzle." As per the weather agency, isolated pockets of Mumbai and its neighbouring districts will likely receive heavy rainfall between Wednesday and Thursday.
