Neeraj Chopra Gifts His Tokyo 2020 Gold Medal-Winning Javelin to Olympic Museum in Switzerland (See Pics)

The champion javelin thrower did this as a symbol of inspiring the next generation of the stars. International Olympic Committee shared pictures of this on social media. Chopra's gold in men's javelin throw was the first by an Indian in track and field athletics at the Olympics and second individual honour after Abhinav Bindra, who won the top prize in shooting in the 2008 Olympics.

In an incredibly humble gesture, Tokyo 2020 gold medallist Neeraj Chopra gifted his javelin, the one which he hurled to win the top prize, to the Olympic Museum in Switzerland. The young Indian star athlete did this to inspire the younger crop of javelin throwers.
