The first half of Day 3 of the India vs West Indies second Test at Delhi went according to expectations, with India wrapping up the West Indies innings shortly. They enforced the follow on, but in the second innings West Indies batted much better specially with John Campbell and Shai Hope out on the crease. The duo has stitched a 138-run partnership and stayed unbeaten at the end of the day to take the game deeper. They will have to stay out on the crease for longer to have any chance of keeping the game alive. 

A rare phase of play in the India vs West Indies series where a West Indies cricketer has scored a half-century. A Test fifty after a very long time and he looks relieved. Hope was batting well in the last innings but in this innings, he was able to convert the start. He has a steep task at hand and will need to be on the crease for West Indies to make their resistance stronger.

John Campbell, in particular, has been on the charge, scoring four fours and one six already in his 55-ball stay. Shai Hope, on the other hand, will look to hold on end up, and take the innings as deep as possible. 

The final session of Day 3 commences as Washington Sundar finishes his maiden wicket over. Ravindra Jadeja's search for a first wicket in the second innings continues as the all-rounder looks to make a sizeable contribution.

So far, both John Campbell and Tagenarine Chanderpaul have looked solid in the middle and have showcased impeccable defence against spin and pace. The track, despite having purchase, is on the slower side. It will be important for Mohammed Siraj and Ravindra Jadeja to utilise the new hard ball better.

India have spin from one end and pace from another end as Mohammed Siraj and Ravindra Jadeja start proceedings for the second time around. Both John Campbell and Tagenarine Chanderpaul will look to improve from their outing in the first innings. 

India have enforced the follow-on, and West Indies will once again come to bat on Day 3, with 49 overs remaining.

This has been a frustrating partnership between Jayden Seales and Anderson Phillip, who have added 27 runs for the 10th wicket stand. India have persisted with Kuldeep Yadav, who is looking for his fifth wicket, to finish his fifth five-wicket haul. 

OUT! Jasprit Bumrah gets his first wicket of the match as Khary Pierre's resistance comes to an end in the first over of the second session. The first session comes to an end, as India takes firm control of the IND vs WI 2nd Test 2025. India managed to claim 4 wickets in 29 overs, giving away 77 runs, which includes a ninth-wicket stand worth 42, that will surely frustrate the Indian camp. Anderson Phillip and Khary Pierre managed to defy odds, and stitched up a 42-run stand, lasting 93 balls, contributing 19 runs each. 

West Indies' total has managed to cross the 200-run mark, and all the credit must go to Anderson Phillip and Khary Pierre. Both bowlers have added 41 runs for the eighth wicket, batting almost 12-odd overs, and look rather comfortable in the middle. 

After a flurry of wickets, the bleeding has stopped. West Indies as their first innings total inches close to the 200-run mark. Anderson Phillip and Khary Pierre have managed to survive Kuldeep Yadav and Co for 39 deliveries while adding 22 runs in the process. Kuldeep Yadav is looking forward to scalping his fifth five-wicket hual in Tests.
