Razia Sultana, Malerkotla MLA And Three Punjab Congress Party Bearers Resign In Solidarity With Navjot Singh Sidhu

On September 28, the Congress party witnessed four resignations. It is the ruling party in the state of Punjab. It started with Navjot Singh Sidhu. On September 28, Sidhu submitted his resignation as the party’s state unit chief. Sidhu posted his resignation letter on social media. The letter, addressed to Congress president Sonia Gandhi, said that being required to compromise was the reason behind his move. Later, Malerkotla MLA Razia Sultana resigned "in solidarity with Navjot Singh Sidhu”.  State treasurer Gulzar Inder Singh Chahal also stepped down. Yoginder Dhingra resigned as the general secretary of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC). Gautam Seth who was the general secretary (in-charge training) of Punjab Congress, also resigned after Sidhu’s resignation. Watch the video to know more.
