Guwahati (Assam) [India], October 9 (ANI): In its continuous efforts to curb trans-border crimes and smuggling along Indo-Bangladesh boder, the troops of Border Security Force (BSF) Guwahati Frontier seized 5 gold biscuits during a special search operation in the Coochbehar district of West Bengal.
Acting on credible intelligence, vigilant bordermen of 138 Bn BSF, launched a meticulously planned search operation in the border area.
"As a result, 5 gold biscuits weighing 583.410 grams, valued at approximately Rs 45.03 lakh, were successfully seized," the PRO of BSF Guwahati Frontier said.
He also said in a press statement that, given the sensitive nature of the Indo-Bangladesh border and the increasing activities of trans-border smugglers and anti-national elements, the BSF has been intensifying its operations to effectively dominate the region.
