Youtuber Jaclyn Hill was forced to upload a statement on her YouTube channel after all the backlash she has been receiving over her lipsticks. It all started when a Twitter user posted a video of her lipstick looking gritty and lumpy. People then started finding hair, fibres and fungus in their lipsticks. Some have now shared pictures of allergic reactions and cuts from their Jaclyn Cosmetics' lipsticks. Large influencers like Patrick Starrr, Nikkitutorials and Alissa Ashley also speak up regarding the issue. And Kylie Jenner finds her way into this drama.

Patrick Starrr was the first big YouTuber to post about this situation. He posted a video on his Snapchat displaying his Jaclyn lipsticks and zoomed in on one lipstick having moulds at the tip. Nikkitutorials joined with her tweets. After constant requests from her fans for a review on Jaclyn cosmetics, Nikki told her fans not to use them and they’re not safe. Alissa Ashley made a video for her YouTube channel promoting other nude lipsticks that people can buy instead of Jaclyn cosmetics. The tweet that started it all

Jaclyn has finally spoken. On June 12, Jaclyn released a statement on her website. People were not happy with this statement for a number of reasons. The statement was posted deep inside the website under the customer care tab. Her fans felt an issue so massive should’ve been addressed on the front page of the website, before anyone can make a purchase. The statement claimed only one percent of the lipsticks were contaminated but they were still “safe” to use. Jaclyn Hill has followed a pattern of saying “only one percent” had a problem with every flop launch of hers. People were quick to notice this and called her a liar for this statement.  Latest Beauty Trend: DIY Wax Nose Jobs Are Going Viral on Instagram, Here’s How You Can Easily Re-Shape Your Nose at Home (Watch Videos)

After the statement on her website, she tried some more damage control on her youtube channel by uploading a 14-minute long video. Again, trying to explain to her fans that her lipsticks were safe to use.

Jaclyn stated her lipsticks have white fuzz on them because the lab used "white gloves fuzzy" instead of rubber gloves to package her lipsticks. And the reason they did this was that her packaging was white and could get prints easily? Safe to say, her fans were not having it. After being accused of selling expired lipsticks, Jaclyn tried to prove her lipsticks were fresh by showing the manufacturing dates in her video. But the audience found it hard to believe with her lipsticks sitting on her vanity in a video from 2017 that surfaced after this launch, proving she had already produced the lipsticks years ago. People also noticed her lipsticks have JH on the front, whereas, the brand name was changed to Jaclyn cosmetics from Jaclyn hill cosmetics, after her divorce.

If that’s not enough trouble for Jaclyn, people have started reporting her brand to the FDA. The mainstream media has jumped on this drama and asked people to send in their lipsticks so they could get them checked for the public. People have also started a petition on change.org to recall Jaclyn cosmetics as they're causing allergic reactions and swollen lips. What's worse for Jaclyn is that the petition has 15,000 signatures.

Some more troubled customers

Kylie Jenner has somehow found a way to involve herself in all this drama by posting a video on her Instagram story. Kylie received the PR package by Jaclyn and showed it on her Instagram story saying she “can't wait to try them”. After receiving hate from her followers for promoting hazardous lipsticks, she quickly took down the post. The Kardashians should rename themselves the drama magnets.
