Scientists Create Room that is Hotter Than The Sun to Generate Clean Energy in Southern England (SEE PIC)
Tokamak Energy is firing its nuclear reactor with a temperature of up to 50 million degrees celsius that is almost twice the core temperature of the sun to generate clean energy. The experiment also has a second goal that is to see if nuclear fusion can produce more energy than it uses.
A room in Oxfordshire, England is being blasted with heat that is twice as hot as the sun's core. Tokamak Energy is firing its nuclear reactor up to 50 million degrees celsius by shooting 140,000 amps of electricity into a cloud of hydrogen gas. The aim of nuclear fusion is to generate an increasing amount of clean energy. The process occurs inside a ‘tokamak’ which is a device that uses a powerful magnetic field to contain the cloud of hydrogen gas.
