DC Win By 25 Runs | CSK vs DC IPL 2025 Highlights: KL Rahul, Bowlers Shine as Delhi Capitals Beat Chennai Super Kings in Chepauk After 15 Years

Delhi Capitals have beaten Chennai Super Kings by 25 runs and it is their first win at this venue after 15 years! Delhi Capitals have won all three of their matches so far and have moved up on the points table. CSK meanwhile, will have a lot of think as they reflect on this show, especially with the bat. It was a clinical show from Delhi Capitals as they outclassed Chennai Super Kings across all departments. KL Rahul stood out with the bat in hand and he justified Axar Patel's decision to bat first as Delhi Capitals went on to post 183/6. Khaleel Ahmed took two wickets (2/25) and was the best of all CSK bowlers. In response, CSK started to lose wickets right from the outset and never really looked to be in the run chase. Vijay Shankar scored a 54-ball 69 and was involved in an 84-run partnership with MS Dhoni (30) but it was not enough at all as CSK fell short by 25 runs. Delhi Capitals not just restricted the flow of runs but also cut down the boundaries regularly in the innings, not allowing any CSK batter to cut loose and take the attack to them.  This loss is CSK's third of the season and they will have a lot of think about. Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals moved to the top of the IPL 2025 points table with a commanding performance and have established themselves to be early contenders for the title.

Chennai Super Kings need 54 runs to win in 12 balls and for all money, this game seems totally out of their control at this point. There still can be a miraculous turn of events but Delhi Capitals will be expected to continue the same way they have done so far in this innings.

FIFTY for Vijay Shankar! He has achieved the 50-run mark but would not be pleased with this effort as CSK find themselves in a world of trouble. Delhi Capitals have been in control of this innings and continue to do so.

Chennai Super Kings are 112/5 in 16 overs and they need 72 runs off 24 deliveries to win. At the moment, it looks improbable but it certainly isn't impossible with MS Dhoni and Vijay Shankar at the crease. Both of them are under pressure and one of them will be expected to go all out in these remaining overs.

Chennai Super Kings continue to be under pressure. Despite Vijay Shankar breaking the boundary drought, CSK need 88 runs off 36 balls to win this match and at this point, it seems Delhi Capitals will go on to win this contest. All eyes on MS Dhoni and Vijay Shankar in the final six overs.

MS Dhoni has walked out to bat after Ravindra Jadeja's dismissal and the whole of Chepauk has erupted! The former CSK captain has a lot to do now if he has to bail his team out of trouble and to a win here.

Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra have kickstarted proceedings for Chennai Super Kings in this run chase. Both these left-handers will look to stitch a partnership and also make the most of the powerplay.

Chennai Super Kings have restricted Delhi Capitals to an achievable total despite a superb innings from KL Rahul. At one stage, it seemed Delhi Capitals would end up getting close to 200 but CSK bowlers did really well in the last five overs to pull things back.
