Lauderhill, Florida Weather: Rain and Wet Outfield Leads to Abandonment of USA vs Ireland T20 World Cup Match

USA vs IRE match called off! So, after a long wait the match has been called off. The United States of America creates history as they join India from Group A in the Super Eight round. Pakistan and Ireland have been eliminated, though both are scheduled to face in what will be a dead rubber on Sunday.

The USA vs IRE T20 World Cup 2024 match has been called off. With this USA qualify for Super 8 and Pakistan have been eliminated along with Ireland.

Another inspection is scheduled for 10:45 PM IST. Weather has been dry thus far but it continues to be cloudy. The amount of rainfall Florida has received has taken its toll on the ground and there are few wet areas around.

We have had couple of inspections and thus far it has not rained in Lauderhill. But it is getting cloudy and the outfield is the main concern as of now. Another inspection is scheduled for 10:00 PM IST. If it rains now in-between, the match will be called off and USA Will advance to Super Eight round.

So, the toss has been delayed due to the wet outfield. It is currently dry in Lauderhill, Florida.  Looks like there will be an inspection at 08:00 PM IST, which is 10:30 AM Local Time. As per forecast, the rain could return later. 

Former Pakistan captain and commentator Wasim Akram has shared another update from the venue. The sun is out as per him but outfield is wet. So, if rain stays away we could have some action.
